Engagement with Trade Association
1.Strategic Roadmap for Net Zero Steel with ISIT & OIE:
TSTH collaborates closely with the Iron and Steel Institute of Thailand (ISIT) and the Office of Industrial Economics (OIE), Ministry of Industry, in formulating national strategies to transition the Thai steel industry toward Net Zero Carbon Emissions. TSTH actively participates in strategic consultations and hosts official plant visits to share best practices on energy efficiency, technology adoption, and policy supporting mechanisms.
2.Technical Working Groups & Focus Groups on Low-Carbon Steel:
The company regularly participates in technical focus groups and low-carbon seminars convened by ISIT and the Department of Primary Industries and Mines (DPIM) (e.g., the “Thai Steel Towards Low-Carbon Industry” initiative and Focus Groups for Long Products). These platforms align industry decarbonization targets, greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, and mitigation pathways across the value chain.
3.Green Steel Certification & Green Label Development:
TSTH serves as a key industry stakeholder on technical sub-committees—working in coordination with ISIT and the Thailand Environment Institute (TEI)—to establish and draft certification criteria for Green Steel and Green Label standards (e.g., for Hot-Rolled Structural Steel / I-Beams), promoting transparent carbon footprint verification and low-carbon product adoption.
4.Alignment with the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET):
TSTH actively aligns its climate disclosures, carbon emission tracking, and sustainability commitments with the guidelines and initiatives of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), supporting the national capital market’s climate resilience and ESG disclosure benchmarks.
TSTH periodically reviews its engagement and positions across all trade associations and industry platforms to ensure that all policy advocacy strictly reinforces its climate commitments, without contradiction to national and global climate targets.
